The Role of the Knoxville Community Foundation

Knoxville is the community you love and it is here that recreational, cultural, and financial opportunities have enriched your life. There comes a time when you ask 'How can I give something back to this community that would enrich life in Knoxville for future generations?"

This is the purpose of the Knoxville Community Foundation, a non-profit organization established to enhance the community by raising funds to be invested for the future of Knoxville.

The organization raises its funds from gifts and bequests and then exercises prudent judgment when investing in projects that better our community.

How it Works

The foundation, incorporated in 1985 as a 501 (C) (3) group, operates through a Board of Directors. They consist of representatives from the Knoxville area. Board members receive no compensation. They study the many needs for funds and help donors make a positive impact on their community. Our foundation is affiliated with the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines to provide expertise in technical and fiscal areas.
